First you must be able to receive G1 with a good signal on both the Vert and Horz channels check G1 ch 11 and 12 they must be clear.

Go to G1 channel 3. Press OPTION 6, 5. At the bottom-right of the screen you should notice the number in the box marked "Channels" increasing. This is called Channel Mapping . Once the unit has stopped counting (currently there are over 4500 channels) it has completed downloading the channel maps.

ACTIVATE THE PROGRAMMING AND IPG

Now that the channels have been mapped it's time to add the programming. Return to G1/3, you will see a grey screen saying: "cannot find channel, continuing to search". This is normal, it's suppose to say that. To activate your programming you will provide us your your Digital Unit ID. Press OPTION 6, 5. The unit ID is on line A. Also on this screen is a trip counter. After you order your programming, watch the trip counter, when it changes press VIEW then GUIDE. In a few minutes he screen will change and the Guide will display. You will also need to take a hit on a video cipher channel for the analog programming to authorize.

HBO/CINEMAX MOUNTAIN, WEST AND OTHERS.

Extra Tuning May Be Required To Receive HBO/Cinemax Mountain and West Channels
Some channels are a little harder to receive. These HBO and Cinemax channels, some of the Starz! channels and satellite X7 use a tighter compression configuration which makes them more difficult to receive without manually adjusting the skew and/or dish position. If you are not receiving a picture on any digital channel but instead are seeing a message saying "cannot find channel, continuing to search" press OPTION, 6,4,4, ENTER then look at the Signal Quality (bottom-right) level. This number will probably read 0. Play with the dish position and the skew in small increments to achieve the highest quality. When you are satisfied with the picture or signal reading, press GO BACK then ENTER to save the adjustments when you are satisfied with the picture. Note: You will see a Skew adjustment only if you have an LNB, if you have a LNBF you may not be able to properly tune these channels.
